Looking for a Stayy replacement?
We booked our family's cabin in Arkansas through Stayy for years. When it shut down, we didn't want to go back to group texts and a shared Google Calendar, so we built Stayside.
Stayside is a private booking calendar for a cabin or vacation home shared by family and friends: one calendar for every stay, a nightly rate for each group, approvals, house guides, and check-in info. Everyone sees what's open and picks their dates, and you can see who's coming.
What it does
You set up your place with photos, house rules, and check-in info. Then you send invites. Each person gets a link that signs them in when they tap it.
Everyone books on the same calendar. If your brother already has the Fourth of July, your sister sees that before she makes plans.
You can also set different rates for different people. You might let your parents stay free, give cousins a family rate, and charge friends what a rental would cost.
A few smaller things we added because we needed them:
- If two families want the same weekend, one can join the other's stay and split the nights.
- The door code and Wi-Fi only show up for people with a confirmed stay.
- Anyone can write a guide, like how to light the water heater or where the life jackets are.
- More than one person can manage the place.
Pricing
$7 a month or $60 a year for each place. Your family and friends don't pay anything to use it. The first 30 days are free, and you don't need a card to start.
Questions
Is Stayside connected to Stayy?
No. We were just customers.
Will it work for a lake house or beach condo?
Yes. We started with a cabin, but it works for any place a group of people shares.
