Refunds and cancellation

Effective November 2, 2026

You can cancel any time, and your place stays open until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund partial periods, but if a renewal charged you by mistake, write within 14 days and we'll refund it.

Free trial

Every place gets 30 days free, with no card needed. If no plan is chosen by the end of the trial, the place is paused. Nothing is charged.

Cancelling

  • Any manager can cancel a place's plan in Settings, Plan & payments.
  • The place stays open until the end of the current monthly or yearly period, then pauses.
  • Until then, any manager can undo the cancel and nothing changes.

Refunds

  • We don't refund the unused part of a month or year after you cancel.
  • If a renewal charged you when you meant to cancel, or charged you twice, write to support@stayside.net within 14 days of the charge and we'll refund it in full.
  • Refunds go back to the original card and usually show up in 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

If something looks wrong on a charge, write to us before disputing it with your bank. A bank dispute pauses the place while it's investigated, and we can usually fix a mistake faster.

Changing plans

  • Monthly to yearly: you're charged today for the yearly plan, minus credit for the unused part of your month.
  • Yearly to monthly: you're charged nothing today. Credit for the unused part of your year is applied to your next monthly charges.

Failed payments

If a payment doesn't go through, we'll retry it for a while and the place stays open meanwhile. If it still fails, the place is paused.

When a place is paused

  • Members see the place as paused, and nothing can be booked or changed.
  • Managers can choose a plan at any time to reopen it, with everything as it was.
  • Nothing is deleted. The place is kept until a manager deletes it or asks us to.

Payments for stays

Payments for stays are made directly between members and managers, outside Stayside. Ask the place's manager about refunds for a stay. We don't refund, reverse or collect stay payments, and we don't step into disputes about them.
