Privacy Policy
Effective November 2, 2026
We collect only what Stayside needs to work, share it only with the people in your place and the services that run Stayside, and never sell it or use it for ads. Stayside is run by JW Creative LLC.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored securely by our sign-in provider, never in plain text.
- Places: what managers and members add, like the place's name and address, rates, booking rules, check-in info such as door codes and Wi-Fi, photos, guides and amenities.
- Stays: bookings, who's on them, trip details and notes.
- Invites: the email addresses you invite, so we can send the invite.
- Billing: plan, status and renewal dates. Card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical: basic logs our hosting providers keep, like IP address, browser type and request times, used to run and secure the service.
Who can see it
- People in your place see what's shared there, based on their role. Check-in info is visible only to managers and people with a confirmed stay that hasn't ended.
- People outside your place can't see it.
- We look at your information only to run Stayside, fix problems you report, or when the law requires it.
Services we use
| Service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, sign-in and photo storage |
| Vercel | Hosts stayside.net |
| Resend | Sends invites and stay emails |
| Stripe | Processes plan payments |
Each handles your information only to provide its service to us.
Cookies and browser storage
We use browser storage to keep you signed in and remember small settings. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
We send emails you need: invites, stay notices, sign-in and password emails, and billing receipts from Stripe. We don't send marketing email.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. A paused place is kept until a manager deletes it or asks us to. When something is deleted, it's removed from our live systems right away and from backups on their normal schedule.
Your choices
You can see and edit most of your information in Stayside. To get a copy of your data, correct something, or delete your account, write to support@stayside.net.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct or delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We don't sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of there. To exercise a right, email support@stayside.net from the address on your account. We'll verify the request and respond within the time the law requires. You can ask someone to make a request for you if they can show they're authorized.
Information about other people
When a manager adds a place and invites people, or a member adds guests to a stay, they're giving us information about others. Each user is responsible for having the right to share that information and for using what they see on Stayside only to take part in their place. We process it on their behalf so the place works.
Security
We protect your information with access controls, encryption in transit and at rest where our providers support it, and limits on who at Stayside can see it. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you as the law requires.
Legal requests and business changes
We may disclose information when we believe the law requires it, to respond to valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety or property of Stayside, our users or others, or to enforce our Terms. If Stayside is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of it. We'll let you know if a different privacy policy will apply.
Other sites
Stayside may link to other sites, like Stripe's billing pages or places managers link to in their guides. This policy doesn't cover those sites.
Do Not Track
We don't track you across other sites, so we don't respond to Do Not Track signals in any special way.
Children
Stayside is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete an account we learn belongs to someone younger.
Where it's stored
Your information is stored and processed in the United States.
Changes
If we change this policy in a significant way, we'll let you know by email or in Stayside before it takes effect.
